OH NO! The Sky is falling...
|

“Oh no”... the sky is falling! Of course it is! It was only a matter of time that the masses
begin to realize the depth to which we are self destructing as a civilization. For many of us
the sky fell a long time ago and it began us on our seeking journey for something Real. At
some point the cosmic rug was bound to get pulled out from everyone else and the fall-out
is certain to be long and fantastic. This 3rd and 4th dimensional creation is based in
extreme duality. The pendulum is always swinging back and forth. What goes up must
come down etc. So there is no real security in this world. Also, the security we try to hold
onto is illusionary anyway. We must be willing to look behind the curtain, like in the movie,
to see that The Great Oz is an illusion. The True security we seek, to keep us buoyant
through all the ups and downs of this world, can only be found when the inner veils are
lifted away to Know what is actually running the show we call life.
From my perspective, this life is a dream like a movie or book. It is a fantasy held together
by smoke and mirrors. Most of the players are ignorant of this and believe their characters
and the stage sets to be real. In this country, the younger souls are filled with endless
ego desires. They indulge themselves on every level possible. They desperately try to fill
up their awareness with all kinds of stuff, so they can't see any curtain to look behind. This
keeps them from asking the essential questions of who am I and what is this life about?
When our lives are filled to the brim with accumulating and consuming and bulling each
other around, who has time to look deeper to see that what might seem to be real and
solid, is actually transparent.
Sleepwalkers sometimes walk into walls and fall down stairs. This may wake them up,
but it will not keep them from sleepwalking again. It is the same for us in the dream.
Waking up once is not enough to keep us awake. We need to walk into walls, the sky
needs to fall and the rug needs to get pulled out from under us, over and over again, until
our egos become small enough to even minutely see the Dream. Seeing the Dream is to
walk neutrally between the duality. The more aware and awake we become the more we
live our life closer to the ground, so when the sky falls or the rug gets pulled out, we are no
longer hurt and disillusioned for we are grounded in True understanding of what is Real.
Having True understanding that Consciousness is all that is Real is like having "The Ruby
Slippers" to protect us from the The Wicked Witch of ups and downs.
The cosmic storyline of this earth is about the evolutionary journey of Soul/Consciousness
Awakening to itself. Having the sky fall is simply a tool for the cosmic evolution to happen.
Taking a cosmic fall is never very pretty and can seem very tragic. My heart goes out to all
of us who live in this Dream and are going thru such things. I have had my share of
cosmic rugs pulled out from under me in a myriad of ways. As a result, I have awakened
to clearly see the Dream. When I began to accept physical reality to be a Dream, I began
to let go and detach myself where I was holding on and it got easier and faster for me to
accept the ups and downs as part of the destined journey of my soul.
Learning to neutralize duality is a must in order for Consciousness to awaken inside of
us. There is a famous old Taoist story I really like called “We’ll See”. It is a good example
of neutralizing duality and living close to the ground. Here is how it goes…
There is an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran
away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. "Such bad luck," they said
sympathetically.
"We'll see," the farmer replied.
The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses.
"How wonderful," the neighbors exclaimed.
"We'll see," replied the old man.
The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke
his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune.
"We'll see," answered the farmer.
The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing
that the son's leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the
farmer on how well things had turned out.
"We'll see,” said the farmer!
And the story continues on and on…
Yes our world is about extreme change happening. And while it is happening, it can either
be a scary story where we get lost in the storyline or it can be a joyful journey because we
know what is Real. So... Get Real, slow down, keep it simple, let go and let flow! Live the
‘now’… from moment to moment and there will be no room for mind/ego to attach itself.
Real change comes from within before it manifests itself out. The lag time between inner
and outer change is slow, so have patience!
Peace be with you,
