"Enlightenment is total emptiness of mind. There
is nothing you can do to get it. Any effort you
make can only be an obstruction to it."
~Ramesh Balsekar ‘A Net of Jewels’
"Ram Tzu knows this...
You can only be lost
If you are trying
To get somewhere."
~Ram Tzu / Wayne Liquorman "NO WAY'
"There are no hard distinctions
between what is real and what is
unreal, nor between what is true
and what is false. A thing is not
necessarily either true or false;
it can be both true and false."
~Harold Pinter
When you say, “I am happy”, you are not happy,
because in this moment you have created a state of
happiness. When you are actually happy, you don't
think of saying, "I am happy", because in that moment
of happiness there is not a knower of the happiness,
and you are in your glory, your wholeness, your
globality."
~Jean Klein 'Open to the Unknown'
"The Sage... Sometimes he appears to be a Fool, sometimes a wise man.
Sometimes he seems splendid as a king, sometimes feeble-minded.
Sometimes he is calm and silent. Sometimes he draws men to him.
Sometimes people honor him greatly, sometimes they insult him.
Sometimes they ignore him."
~Sri Shankara The Crest Jewel of Discrimination
"...So you see, any of your efforts to try to "appease" this false
character, like meditation to "calm" it, or to see "visions", to have
"no thoughts", or whatever, is nonsense. Because the "character",
the "you" that is trying to "accomplish" all this whatever... IS the
problem itself!" ~Judi Rhodes
"When we accept that God's will prevails all
the time and not the individual will, the ‘me’
as the doer gets smaller and smaller till it
gets completely merged in Consciousness."
~Ramana Maharshi 'Thirty Verses'
“It is less what one is that should matter, than what one is not. To acquire
knowledge should not be our first aim, but rather to rid ourselves of ignorance -
which is false knowledge. The qualities we possess should never be a matter
for satisfaction, but the qualities we have discarded. ”
~Wei Wu Wei 'Fingers Pointing Towards The Moon'
"Enlightenment reveals
that the universe emerges
spontaneously. Its emergence
and pattern are perfect in
mathematics and symmetry
and involve no chance.
Nothing is random, everything
emerges exactly as it has to.
There is no random chance, or
evolution based on chance."
~ Steve Norquist
Self-Realization is effortless.
What you are trying to find
is what you already are.
~Ramesh Balsekar ‘A Net of Jewels’
"Life is without meaning. You bring the
meaning to it. The meaning of life is
whatever you ascribe it to be. Being
alive is the meaning."
~Joseph Campbell
“When we talk about settling the world's problems, we're
barking up the wrong tree. The world is perfect. It's a
mess. It has always been a mess. We are not going to
change it. Our job is to straighten out our own lives.”
~Joseph Campbell
"We all live under the same sky.
We all will live, we all will die.
There is no wrong, there is no right.
The circle only has one side."
~Fran Healy - Travis
"Doctrines, scriptures, sutras, essays, are not to be regarded as systems to be
followed. They merely contribute to understanding. They should be for us a
source of stimulation, and nothing more... Adopted, rather than used as a
stimulus, they are a hindrance."
~Wei Wu Wei
"Ram Tzu has some questions for you...
Just who do you think you are?
Are you other than God?
Are you separate from Me?
If so...
What are you made of?
Where did it come from?"
~Ram Tzu / Wayne Liquorman "NO WAY'

"Sometimes when you win you loose...
Sometimes when you loose you win!"
~Unknown
"We might think that we know what enlightenment is... but
there is no way to know it, for the occurrence itself is the
absence of anyone being there!"
~Sheilan
“It is by going down into the abyss that
we recover the treasures of life. Where
you stumble, there lies your treasure.”
~Joseph Campbell
Events happen, deeds are done.
There is no individual doer of
any deed.
~The Buddha
… The Self never undergoes change; the intellect never possesses consciousness. But
when one sees all this world, he is deluded into thinking, “ I am the seer, I am the
knower.” Mistaking one’s Self for the individual entity, one is overcome with fear. If one
knows oneself not as the individual but as the supreme Self, one becomes free from fear.
The entire universe is truly the Self. There exists nothing at all other than the Self. The
enlightened person sees everything in the world as his own Self, just as one views
earthenware jars and pots as nothing but clay.
~Shankara
"99.999% of the spiritual books and teachers out there are completely wrong. They are
wrong for one simple reason, they are not enlightened, they don’t know what's going
on. So in order to keep the illusion of personality, of the idea that there is something
or someone, they invent stories, or theories, or ideas, wear special clothes, perform
certain rituals and so on. They teach this stuff. But the truth is so simple, it is laughable.
Now let me make a clear distinction on one point, mystical experience is not
enlightenment. You may have mystical experience, see God, get abducted by aliens,
receive messages from an angel, contact your spirit guides, the list could go on. But
always and forever, no matter what is going on, the truth is, every experience, mystical
or ordinary is a happening of Universe/Consciousness." ~ Steve Norquist
